Don’t compare yourself to anyone else because we all have our own unique journey and story that we should be proud of. —

Hi there! I'm Muhammad Syafrudin, and I've been lucky enough to call Sejong University in Seoul my academic home since March 2022. Before that, I spent some wonderful years (2019-2022) at Dongguk University, where I learned so much about Korean academia and culture.

Back in 2019, I received an incredible opportunity that still feels surreal – the Indonesian government invited me to represent Indonesian diaspora researchers in Korea at the World-Class Scholars Symposium III (SCKD 2019) in Jakarta. It was amazing to connect with fellow researchers and contribute to discussions about advancing Indonesia's research landscape. More recently, in 2023, I had another honor – participating as a panelist at the World Scientific Forum of Indonesia (WSFI) in beautiful Bali. These experiences remind me why I'm passionate about building bridges between different research communities.

For the past 10+ years, I've been diving deep into the fascinating world of Industrial AI and data science – you know, all that cool stuff like Industrial Artificial Intelligence, IoT systems, and Big Data analytics. I've been fortunate to collaborate with amazing researchers and have published over 60+* papers together. Seeing our work cited 1770+* times (according to Google Scholar) is both humbling and motivating! I also love being part of the academic community by reviewing papers and serving on committees for 60+** journals and conferences – it's a great way to stay connected with cutting-edge research. When I'm not buried in research, you'll find me in the classroom teaching courses on everything from programming and machine learning to database systems. I genuinely enjoy helping students discover their passion for technology!

I'd love to chat if you have any questions or if you're interested in collaborating on research – feel free to reach out anytime!
